Christy began being principal at Concordia Lutheran School in the summer of 2017. Previously, she taught at Unity Christian Lutheran Elementary School in East St. Louis, IL, Amazing Grace Christian School in Renton, WA, and right here at Concordia Lutheran School Seattle. Being able to watch teachers, staff, and students succeed with the gifts God has given them while working alongside them to help them achieve even more success is one of the greatest joys of her position. It is an honor to serve our Concordia family at large! She lives in Lake City with her husband, Brad, and two growing daughters, Esther (born 2015) and Iris (born 2017). They enjoy spending time with each other cooking, playing, hiking, and traveling.

Pam Curry

Pam Curry

Wedgwood Campus Concordia Preschool Director and Teacher

Pam joined the Concordia Wedgwood staff in August 2010 as Preschool Director and preschool teacher of the Giraffe 5’s class. Prior to working at the Wedgwood Campus, she directed the Lake City Preschool Campus for 13 years. Pam held management positions in the computer industry and paramedical field prior to her years serving in preschool.

Pam’s love of children and passion for ministry lead her to a position in a preschool setting. She has an Associate degree in Child Development and has taken a multitude of professional development classes over the years. Pam has a long history with Concordia, as both her sons attended here preschool through 8th grade. She believes Concordia played a pivotal role in the preparation for their future academically, socially and spiritually.

Pam and her husband enjoy family life and feel very blessed with the vocations God has given them. She enjoys gardening, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Vicki became part of the Concordia family when her son, Zachary, entered the Woodlands class as a fifth grader in September 2019. In January 2020, she joined the preschool as its Assistant Director. Vicki and her family lived overseas prior to moving to Seattle in 2017. In Hong Kong, Vicki worked in the finance industry and directed an educational non-profit organization before deciding in 2003 to pursue her passion for working with students as an English language teacher and tutor. While Vicki continues to enjoy teaching writing to older students, it is the younger ones that bring her the most joy and to this end, she is pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) with an expected graduation date of June 2022.

Vicki is grateful that God has brought her to this loving and supportive community of students, staff, and families. Outside of school and work, she enjoys spending quality time with friends and family, playing board games, and trying new restaurants.

Abby Williams joined Concordia Seattle in 2021.  Previously Abby taught at Renton Prep Christian School in Renton, Washington, Prince of Peace Christian School in Fremont, California, and Amazing Grace Lutheran School in Seattle.  One thing that Abby enjoys most about teaching is sparking creativity and joy of learning.  Abby appreciates the opportunity at Concordia to share the love of Christ with her students and school community.  When Abby isn’t teaching she enjoys staying active through exercise and competition, she enjoys sprint triathlons.  Abby enjoys spending quality time with her husband, family, and friends.

Kayla joined Concordia Lutheran School in August 2020. Prior to that, she had 8 years’ experience teaching a variety of combinations of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade at Amazing Grace/Renton Prep in Renton, WA. One aspect of teaching that Kayla enjoys is inspiring her students to use their passions and creativity in their learning. She loves seeing student perspective and voice in projects and is always amazed at their insight and imagination. In addition, Kayla appreciates the opportunity to build positive relationships with her students, where she can share Christ’s love and grace and instill a sense of confidence in who her students are as people and children of God. When Kayla isn’t teaching, she enjoys running, listening to podcasts, and trying new restaurants!

Karsin joined Concordia in the fall of 2022 after moving from California. A born-and-raised San Diegan, she’s settling into her new home nicely. It helps that she enjoys the weather here!

Katie started working as an elementary teacher at Concordia in 2015 but has been part of the Concordia family for much longer. She attended Concordia as a student from Kindergarten through 8th grade and worked with both preschool- and elementary-age kids at the summer camp program while in high school and college. One thing Katie loves about teaching (especially with smaller class sizes) is forming a positive and caring relationship with each individual student so that they feel safe and are eager to challenge themselves and take risks in their learning! Her goal is that each child knows of God’s unending love for them, and with that knowledge, are confident in themselves and their unique abilities.

Kristin joined Concordia Lutheran School in August 2018. Prior to that, she taught at Zion Lutheran School in Brighton, CO for 13 years where she taught in grades 1-5. Kristin found the upper elementary ages bring her the most joy as she gets to watch the students grow and question the world around them. They are beginning to explore, find themselves, and find who God created them to be. Kristin loves being a part of their adventure.

Kristin is so thankful God brought her to this school of amazing staff, parents, and students! Kristin lives north of Seattle with her old puppy and enjoys running and biking around the area.

Kendrick Holley

Athletic Director/ P.E. Teacher

BA in Physical Education with a minor in Recreational Sports and Development, 2007

Kendrick is a former college athlete who played for Northwest University in Kirkland. During his tenure there, he helped his basketball team make a run at the Final Four for NAIA College Athletics. After receiving his degree, Kendrick had the opportunity to be an assistant coach for the women’s basketball program at Northwest University for four years while he began teaching at Concordia Lutheran School as a Physical Education teacher. Kendrick has worked with children of all ages. Having taught at different levels, he relates to children very well and understands that every child is unique in his or her own way.

As well as teaching P.E. to the kids, Kendrick is the Athletic Director for the school. He oversees all the athletics at the school with scheduling games, practices, transportation, etc. Kendrick take great pride in representing the school in a positive manner at all times. Concordia Lutheran School is a place for your child to grow as an individual and be loved and respected by others.

Mrs. Lynnie loves working at Concordia! She has been teaching in the Early Education field for the last 30 years. Lynn feels blessed to be teaching in an amazing school that loves God and that has a nurturing, loving environment. She enjoys guiding the children to embrace learning and experience new challenges.

Lynn and her husband and have two adult children and one granddaughter. When she’s not at work, Lynn spends her time gardening and enjoying her Labrador named Gracie.

Born in Ethiopia, I arrived in the Twin Cities, Minnesota, in 1994. While there I attended St. Paul’s Technical College studying in the field of Child Development. Married to my husband, Pr. Yoseph Petros, we have three wonderful grown boys all of whom have attended and completed their Junior High here at Concordia Lutheran School – Seattle. I joined Concordia in August 1999 and have been working with the Preschool children and their families for the last 23 years. I love children and I have a strong compassion for them, which also equips me with witnessing the love of God to them. As a faith-affiliated school, I enjoy working here
and being part of the larger family of Christ. Praise God we have such a knit family of God working for His Kingdom and helping these budding children knowing that God loves them.

Ginny feels blessed to have worked in early childhood education for 26 years and with Concordia Preschools for the past 20. Ginny earned her CDA in Early Childhood Education in 1998 and continues to take classes to learn new, fun ways to teach our young ones. Ginny has been married to her husband, Bob, for 40 years. They have three grown children and three grandchildren! Ginny’s youngest son, Eric, graduated from Concordia. His years at Concordia provided him with a good education, nurtured his love for Christ, and helped develop wonderful moral values and lifelong friendships. Ginny’s philosophy on teaching children is – Treat them with respect, teach them how to succeed, give them strategies to deal with challenges, and help them develop social skills and a sense of community. Some of her favorite things are sharing her love for the Lord, backyard barbecues with family and friends, motor home trips with her husband, their fur babies, and teaching!

The 2019-2020 academic year was Amy’s first year at Concordia and she loves it! She has been in the teaching field for over 20 years; mostly with ages 2-5, but also has some experience with school age children. Amy spent four years teaching to children of missionaries overseas; the first two years were spent teaching 2nd grade and her last two years she worked with 6th graders.

Amy grew up in Westport, Connecticut, but has lived in the Seattle area since 1992, currently residing in Lynnwood with her dog, Pepper. She loves the beach, traveling, writing poetry and lyrics to songs, hiking, and taking pictures of nature.

Jen Falck is a longtime educator who recently joined the Concordia family. Before taking leave to raise her three children, now in 5th, 6th, and 8th grade, she taught middle school and high school math; she’s excited to return to the middle school classroom and provide individualized instruction that will engage, support, and challenge each student while also providing them with a lifelong confidence in the subject and the sense that math is fun! For Jen, an interdisciplinary approach is more engaging than other methods and helps students develop the skills to work through messy problems in an organized way, encouraging high-order thinking.

Alison joined the Concordia family in 2021, when her adult kids began to leave the nest and it was time to use her gifts elsewhere. When considering future work opportunities, Concordia came to the forefront of her mind as she began to think about the blessing it had been to have a safe & loving preschool for her kiddos to learn and grow at! Alison is a people-lover, but has always delighted in children as they are SO funny, honest, & pure-hearted at least most of the time! Alison sees one of her main callings in life as to help others become all that God made them to be by loving, encouraging, teaching, & mentoring them. She loves the Concordia community & counts
it a wonderful blessing to be a part of it. Alison loves to spend time with family & friends and get out in nature: hiking, camping, traveling. She’s also learning the guitar & loves to Worship God through music. She lives by the motto to never stop learning & growing.

Kristal was born and raised in Naperville, Illinois. Upon graduating from UIC, she moved to South Korea to teach English. She lived there for three years and thoroughly enjoyed the teaching experience and living abroad. She moved back to Chicago for a short period of time before heading to Seattle in 2021. She knew right away that working at Concordia would be a great place to find a community and to continue working in the education field. She is currently obtaining her graduate degree in teaching and is looking forward to having a classroom of her own! In her spare time she likes to spend time with her dog, read books, and explore new places in Washington.

 

Jessica Dahl

Jessica has been in full-time ministry for the past 13 years working with college students. She has lived in Argentina and led trips to Mexico numerous times where she directed summer programs for kids. The ability to now share her passion for the Spanish language with the students of Concordia is a dream come true. In this role she hopes to model a growth-mindset in language mastery and make learning fun. In her spare time, you can find her riding bikes with her husband and two kids, running, or reading a good book.
Wendy Hansen

Wendy Hansen

Art Teacher

Wendy Hansen is an artist, set, and costume designer, mother and grandmother. She has a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College, Chicago, and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of Mississippi. Both degrees are in theatre arts with emphasis in set and costume design. Before and besides art and theatre design, she has worked as a mechanical and electrical drafter, as well as drafting supervisor. She taught art in Mississippi to 2nd grade through high school students, as well as theatre classes at the University of Mississippi and Oklahoma City University. She is really excited to be teaching art and drama again. 

Katherine Arpin

Music Teacher

Katherine Arpin, veteran music educator, also gives private music instruction. As a pianist, she has accompanied many choirs (all ages) and musical theater groups. She also plays guitar. Her teaching experience spans Washington (Seattle-Yelm) to Guam. Her teaching experiences in Guam include: DoDEA/DoDDS; Gifted and Talented program/Guam Public Schools; choir director – Guam Naval Hospital Command; choirmistress – Guam Symphony Chorale; Guam Chamber Players; and adjunct voice instructor – University of Guam. Stateside. In Seattle, Kathy performed with Seattle Pro Música, Gilbert & Sullivan Society, Seattle Symphony Chorale, and Attic Theatre. With a Bachelor’s degree in Music (University of Washington) and a Washington State Teaching certificate, she can teach choir, band, and general music, and often incorporates Kodaly and Orff in her lessons. Her hobbies are spending time with her family and reading.
