Dear parents,

Thank you for your interest in our summer camp program! Attached you will find information regarding our day camp at Concordia. Our programs offer interesting themes, experienced staff, fun field trips, and lots of outside time, so hopefully our students have a great time!

This summer, we will offer four different summer camps. The first class is for our youngest preschoolers, the Teddy Bears. This class, for students who turn 4 by August 31, will enjoy weekly themes such as “Around the World” and “Circus Circus”. In addition to our regular activities, each week we will take a field trip on Mondays, students may bring their bikes in on Tuesdays, we will cook on Wednesdays, we will walk over to Viewridge Park on Thursdays, and we will have water day on Fridays.

Our second class is for our older preschoolers who will turn 5 by the end of summer, and this class will meet in our Bumble Bee class. This class will enjoy the same great themes as the younger class, with bring-your-bike day on Mondays, Viewridge Park on Tuesdays, cooking on Wednesdays, a field trip on Thursdays, and water day on Fridays. Plus lots of arts and crafts and fun every day!

Our third class is for children entering grades 1 through 3 in the fall. This class will meet in the cottage, and we will explore our wonderful city of Seattle with neighborhood themed field trips and explorations each week. Our first though third graders will enjoy a trip to Viewridge Park on Mondays each week, bring-your-bike or scooter in on Tuesdays, a big field trip on Wednesdays, cooking and exploring a neighborhood park on Thursdays, and swimming on Fridays.

Our fourth class is our newest class for children entering grades 4 through 8. This class will be offered Mondays through Thursdays and will be very active, with lots of field trips and community explorations. Activities will include exploring a neighborhood park on Mondays, a field trip on both Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and a trip to Viewridge Park and cooking on Thursdays. On Fridays, these older children will be able to join the younger class if desired for their swim and water day.

As you can see, we will have a lot of fun! We do anticipate very full camps this summer, so be sure to return your registration form and fee as soon as possible to Mrs. Hartman or Kristen Okabayashi. Please see the attached FAQs page for more information. If you have other questions, feel free to ask! We hope to see you this summer.
